Hello! We are Malvika and Animesh, and we’re excited to introduce you to Woof Ministry. We are Malvika and Animesh, the founders of Woof Ministry, a company that offers healthy and tasty treats for pets. We are passionate about pet nutrition and well-being, and we want to share our love for dogs with you.

Our journey began with our first dog, Cookie, in Dubai. Cookie wasn’t just our pet; she became our trainer and mentor. Through her, we learned how to be responsible pet parents, making mistakes and growing along the way. We adopted Cookie from a shelter when she was 3 years old, and she paved the way for all the other furry companions who entered our lives.

Cookie, Bingo, and Mango hold special places in our hearts. However, it was Bingo’s illness that truly ignited our passion for pet nutrition. When we adopted Bingo in 2018, he was a 2-year-old puppy struggling with obesity and renal issues. Surprisingly, he was still being fed puppy kibble at that age, and physical activity was minimal. The family who had him was ready to abandon him in the desert if no one took him that day. Sadly, desert abandonment is a common occurrence in Dubai.

We brought   home immediately, embarking on a journey of learning and caring for a dog with renal illness. Fortunately, Bingo was a foodie and readily embraced a well-balanced home-cooked diet guided by a canine nutritionist. But what about treats? Every dog deserves treats, right? Unfortunately, none of the commercial treats on the market met our standards for quality and suitability.

Our quest for appropriate treats led us to research, experiment, and innovate. We started making treats at home using the oven, and eventually, we invested in a dehydrator. The supermarket butchers raised eyebrows as we collected organs and meat cuts for our homemade treats.

Thanks to the right nutrition, Bingo thrived and we got to share more than 2 wonderful years with us

In 2019, we made the move to India, bringing along both Cookie and Bingo. However, deep down, we knew that Bingo wouldn’t be with us forever. In June 2019, he left us, leaving an immense void in our hearts.

As a tribute to Bingo, the dog who cherished food more than anything (just slightly less than his love for Animesh), we founded Woof Ministry in November 2019. Our logo was thoughtfully designed to honor both Cookie and Bingo, who taught us invaluable lessons about dogs, love, patience, and living in the present moment.

Then came March 2020, and with it, the global pandemic. But amidst the chaos, we encountered our third dog—Maxi, now known as Mango. During the lockdown, while out on walks with Cookie, we met a cheerful dog who decided to join us. Day after day, she followed us, quickly learning Cookie’s walk schedule and eagerly awaiting her share of Woof Ministry Treats. She became a fixture below our house, perched on car roofs, and eventually, we welcomed her into our home for evening meals. Her love for car rides and her persistence—like a queen ruling the streets—won us over completely. It felt destined; we fell for her, hook, line, and sinker. Everyone in the neighborhood agrees that she targeted us because she sensed we were ready for our next pet after Bingo.

And so, Mango became an integral part of our lives, filling our home with joy and reminding us to seize each moment. 

Feeding the Free-Roaming Ones: A Heartwarming Journey

Our journey began with just three dogs on our street when the Pandemic hit. It soon turned into a daily ritual: cooking for them and heading out at 8 o’clock to feed them. They’d wait eagerly, tails wagging, as soon as they spotted our car. Each dog had a special place in our hearts, and we even gave them unique names. to name a few, they were

• Zodiac Doggo: This canine friend earned his name because he always sat outside a Zodiac showroom, even though he lived in a nearby building. His loyalty was unwavering.
• Dancing Doggo: Brownie or Joy, as she was known on the street, had a habit of making joyful sounds like “oooh…ooooh…oooooooh” whenever we approached. Her tippy-tap dance moves were infectious.
• Rani, the Queen of Pali Hill: Rani, a true diva, would take chicken feet right off our hands and prance up and down the road, treating them like prized possessions. She’d then return to her bed, thoughtfully placed outside someone’s home, to savor her meal. Rani loved ear scritches and always walked us back to the car, bidding us farewell.

And then there were others like Don and Lucky, each with their own special place in our hearts. We now have the privilege of feeding around 120 dogs and 20 cats daily. With the support of our valued customers and fellow animal lovers, we hope to grow this number and continue our heartwarming mission.

Our Team

We are a small but mighty team of pet lovers, based in Mumbai, India. We have a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and an MBA in Marketing, while my co-founder Animesh has a B.Com degree and an MBA in Marketing. We both have over 14 years of experience in various marketing and sales roles in India and Dubai.

Meet Our Team:

Malvika -Dog Mother, Founder & Chief Everything Officer. Master of the Kitchen and a wizard of the whisk, always looking to create new pawsome treats for our furry friends. 

Animesh - Co-founder & Helper. Job profile includes petting all dogs and being the chief treat dispenser. Self-proclaimed Dr Dolittle.

Sushanti – Production Supervisor.  Makes all the goodies loved by all our pupstomers! Our oldest member who joined us when we were still in a home kitchen in 2020. Knows every recipe by heart and helps train all the newbies.

Rahul – Logistics & Admin Supervisor – This boy's journey is impressive. He started as our domestic help who used to go to college part time, got himself a degree and a job with us!  He has now grown to be the person who manages sending out all shipments on time, everytime!

Raju – Production Executive - Our Newest Treat Maker! Never worked in a kitchen before but has a great penchant for learning and and an extremely hard worker!

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide high-quality, natural, and delicious treats for pets. We use only the best ingredients, sourced locally and ethically, and we make our treats with care and love. We believe that every dog deserves a treat that is good for them and good for the planet.

We also care about the community and the environment. During the lockdown, we adopted Mango, a free roaming indie dog who joined us on our walks with Cookie. We also started feeding the community dogs in our area, and we donate a portion of our profits to animal shelters and rescue groups.
